Al-Quds University Hosts Workshop on Blockchain Innovation and the PEEB Project
On 23 November 2025, Al-Quds University hosted a workshop for 25 third- and fourth-year Computer Science students to introduce them to the PEEB Project and the educational opportunities it offers through its blockchain-focused learning resources.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of blockchain technology and demonstrate how the project's resources—including practical guides, learning materials, and the online training course—can support students in identifying innovative ideas for their senior projects, future start-ups, and entrepreneurial ventures.
During the session, participants were introduced to the objectives of the PEEB Project and its mission to strengthen blockchain-related skills among students, entrepreneurs, and SMEs. The workshop highlighted the growing importance of emerging technologies in addressing real-world business challenges and creating new opportunities for innovation.
A lively discussion followed, focusing on the practical applications of blockchain technology and its potential impact on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Students explored common challenges faced by SMEs, including issues related to transparency, trust, efficiency, and access to digital services. Particular attention was given to the Palestinian context, where technological innovation can play an important role in supporting business resilience, competitiveness, and growth.
Participants actively engaged in discussions on how blockchain solutions can be integrated into business processes and how the technology may contribute to developing innovative products and services. The workshop also encouraged students to consider blockchain-related topics for their academic projects and future professional careers.
The event provided an opportunity to connect students with the resources developed through the PEEB Project and fostered greater interest in the role of blockchain technology in entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and SME development.
